This is the first screen print of his famous "LOVE" design Robert Indiana ever printed. Indiana's exhibit at Stable Gallery in May 1966 would be the first time Indiana world renowned "LOVE" design was exhibited by him at a gallery. Few examples of this rare 1st edition poster in bold blue & green with a red bottom announcing Stable May 66 are known to exist.

 

Their are copies later produced in 1971 with the  following text at the bottom lower right 1966/1971 Poster Originals Limited No 39. This poster is a First Original Sheet size 32" x 24". Provenance A Michigan College Art Professor Estate. I Framed.
